Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced tutor to join our team. As a tutor, you will play a crucial role in assisting students in their academic pursuits, providing guidance, and fostering a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of the subject matter, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to individual learning styles.
We are a very small team of passionate educators who make a difference every day. We are looking for confident educators who can adapt their teaching to match their students. We strongly recognise that one size DOES NOT fit all, and succesful applicants must demonstrate a high level of flexibility within their teacher approaches.
Responsibilities:
Conduct one-on-one or group tutoring sessions based on the specific needs and goals of students.
Assist students in understanding and mastering academic concepts in various subjects.
Develop and implement personalised lesson plans that align with the curriculum and address areas of difficulty.
Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to motivate students to reach their academic potential.
Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment to enhance student confidence and engagement.
Stay updated on curriculum changes, educational trends, and effective teaching methodologies.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, including student attendance and performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education (Primary or Secondary) or currently studying 4th year of Bachelor of Education.
Strong knowledge of the subject matter and proficiency in relevant areas
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to diverse learning styles.
Passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed.
Experience with homeschooling is a bonus
